How to promote a website is a natural question for any growing busines. I’ve put together here some tips on how to go about this process.
To make this more manageable I’ve broken the process down to a step by step guide. One thing to keep in mind if you are finding the business of promoting your site difficult, don’t be disheartened. There is a lot of successful precedence for us to follow and a lot it is free.
Build a social hub around your site
Don’t just rely on the traffic to come to you. Reach out to the social networks that allow you to mirror copy your offering within their fold. So for example, open a twitter page and brand it to your site, the same goes for: facebook, myspace, squidoo and so on. There are lots out there offering this facility. Once you have a few set up, talk about yourself on them, try and get some fans. And above all, link back your original site to these social network points.
Write articles about yourself
Submit them to the authority article directories, like ezinearticles, goarticles and articlesbase
Do a press release for your site
Try using PRleap or PRWeb. Research this particular method thoroughly before you go ahead. Writing a press release is a real science, as is your timing of its release.
